Judy was born in Wadena, MN to Edwin and Edna Hannus, on July 23,1940. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from West High School. She married Marven Saarela in Cokato, MN, on November 21, 1958. Marv and Judy were blessed with five children.

The couple resided in several states during their marriage, including MN, WI, MI, and AZ, and most recently in Cokato. Judy loved buying and selling houses and was a long-time realtor. She met many life-long friends through her career.

In her free time, Judy loved to travel, play golf, and was an active member of ski patrol. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin with family and friends in Danbury, WI.

Judy is survived by her husband Marv, children Rebecca (Ron) Furnival, Jon (Tracy) Saarela, Sarah Saarela, and four grandchildren. She is also survived by brother John (Mary) Hannus and sister Mary (Dave) Arvola. She was preceded in death by her parents, and children, Susie and Steven.

Private Memorial First Apostolic Lutheran Church, Dassel. Interment at a later date.
