Kathleen Thiede

Kathleen M. Thiede, age 74, passed away peacefully on August 11.

Kathleen touched countless lives with her hospitality and generosity. She appreciated this world’s beauty in all its forms: flowers, the arts, and the faces of those around her. After retiring from nursing, Kathleen volunteered for many years at Risen Christ, an inner-city Catholic school educating students from under-resourced families.

Preceded in death by Len, her husband of 45 years; and parents, Roy and Genevieve Hall.

Survived by husband, Paul Jorgensen; children, Fr. John Thiede SJ, Jeff (Susan) Thiede, and Kay (Mike) Paulus; grandchildren, Sean, Ben, Autumn, Parker, Joe, and Maureen; sisters, Jean (Dave) Soltis, Cel (Roy) Androli, Jenny (Mike) Holden; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends she loved like family.

Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
