Kathryn (Kathy) M. Drew
Age 87, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Richard (Dick) Drew; her parents, Raymond and Gwendolyn Tullius; sisters, Claire Frances Tullius and Mary Rainey; and niece Dawn Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Lee Ann (David) Stuhr and Cindy (Rich) Dockendorf; son, Jeff; four grandchildren, Quinn Drew, Matt (Meghan) Dockendorf, Jacob (Natalie Klein) Dockendorf, Nicole Dockendorf; and great-granddaughter, Sofia Dockendorf. She is also survived by siblings, Raymond Tullius and Pat (Trish) Tullius; nieces, Shaune Touhey and Kirsten Kuhnle.
Kathy worked in the business office at Totino-Grace High School for 33 years, where her warm smile greeted generations of students and staff. Alongside her husband Dick, she served as financial chair for the school’s annual gala and shared in ministry as a music accompanist at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for more than 60 years. Whether playing the organ for Mass or piano for weddings and funerals, Kathy’s musical talents were a lasting gift to her parish community. She and Dick also guided many couples through marriage preparation at St. Alphonsus.
A woman of deep faith, Kathy found joy in gardening, sewing, baking, and being present for her family’s milestones. She was always behind the camera, cheering on her grandchildren at every game, concert, or performance. She remembered every occasion with a heartfelt card and shared wisdom and kindness in her annual Christmas letters.
Kathy was humble and kind, never wanting to be a bother, and was deeply grateful for the care she received from her medical team in her final months.
We will miss her dearly. Her legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever.
A funeral Mass will take place at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (Brooklyn Center) on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
Private interment at Acacia Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alphonsus, Totino-Grace, or a charity of the donor’s choice in Kathy’s memory.
