She is preceded in death by Father, Otha B. Gadson; Grandparents, Isie B. & Ellis Erving and Hellen Gadson; Uncles, Ellis Jr Erving, A.D. Erving, Arthur Lee Erving, Willie C. Winters, Emmitt Erving; Aunts, Marjorie Erving and Leora Pierce. 

Kayla is survived by her mother, Mary Alice Erving-Gadson; one brother, Otha Maurice Gadson and one sister, Amber LaJune Erving-Gadson; Nephews and Nieces, Cayden Alex Erving-Osburn, Alice Evelyn Ridout and Abigail Isie Ridout; Aunts, Mary Lee Warren, Hattie B. Erving-Wade, Jessie Lee Erving of Minneapolis, MN; Viola Collins of West, MS; Dillie Thompson of Hattisburg, MS; Uncles, Van Erving (Kay Frances) of West, MS; George Lee Erving of Jackson, MS; and a host of other relatives and friends.
