Kenneth J. Kangas

Kenneth John Kangas Sr.

87 of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home 10/22/2026. 

Ken was born in New York Mills, MN 1939 to Toivo John and Aili Kangas. He graduated from New York Mills High School, class of 1957 and he honorably served in US Army in Korea 1960-1961. In 1968 he founded Kangas Enameling Inc. Ken had a love for the outdoors, especially at the cabin or farm socializing with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, deer hunting and bowling.

He is survived by his kind, caring and loving wife, Deanne; sons, Kenneth Jr. “Duffy” and Curt; grandson, Preston (Makenna); great granddaughter, Charlotte; brother, Calvin (Irene); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Toivo John Kangas and Aili Kangas; brother, Harold Kangas (Bonnie); and sister, Shirley (Clarence Dormanen).

Private family services will be held.
