Kerry Ann Hovelsrud

age 74, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025.

Kerry loved all kinds of music, shopping, working on special craft projects and enjoying her favorite meals from McDonald’s. She especially loved time spent with family – celebrating holidays and birthdays with her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and sharing nightly phone calls with her mom. Kerry was truly the heart of our family, teaching everyone around her to be more kind, respectful and showing what unconditional love looks like.

Our family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at the group home where Kerry lived for many years and received such wonderful care. We are eternally grateful for the continuous love and compassion Kerry has received throughout her life from all of our family and friends.

Preceded in death by her father, James Hovelsrud and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kerry is survived by her mother, Patricia Hovelsrud; siblings, Jim Hovelsrud, Jeff (Mona) Hovelsrud, John (Liz) Hovelsrud, Tim Hovelsrud, Mary Pat (Greg) Harald; nieces and nephews, Joey (Mady) Hovelsrud, Danny (Vanessa) Hovelsrud, Anne Marie (Bryan) Carroll, Tommy Harald, Ryan Harald and Reese Hovelsrud.

Visitation is planned for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Avenue North, Brooklyn Center, MN. Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m.
