Leo Spanjers

Born December 28, 1924, age 95 of Plymouth, formerly of Robbinsdale, passed away on April 29, 2020. Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Practiced dentistry in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by parents, Anton and Anna Spanjers, wife, Joan, brother Robert, and granddaughter Rachel Serber Duncan. Survived by sisters Ella Spanjers and Lois Myers; children, Steven (Rose), Julie (Michael) Serber, Jay, Scott (Dena), and Todd (Karen); grandchildren Jessica (Brian) Grewe, Emily (Tim) Bergen, Charlie (Kelsey), David (Miriam) Serber, Lynnea (John) Masters, Erica, Phillip (Brandi), Mitchell, Janneke, Samuel, and Sara; 9 great-grandchildren; relatives and friends. Private Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, May 7, 2020, 12 noon at The Church of the Sacred Heart, 4087 West Broadway, Robbinsdale. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
