Linnae Elaine Murphy Ebel

passed away suddenly on April 21st, 2025. She was born on December 22nd, 1952, in Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by her husband Dale Ebel, her children Justin (Marta), Chelsea (Charlie), and Blake (Teri), her grandchildren Rylee (Caleb), Miguel, Taylor, Blake, Gabriel, Lauren, Landen, Bennett, step-grandchildren Robert (Susan), Jamie (Mike), Tyler, Steven, Leland, step-great grandchildren Kegan, Peyton, Alice, Anthony, Selena, Melody, and her sisters Mary Jo Nasiedlak and Margo Wirtjes. She was preceded in death by her father Lyle Murphy, mother Dorothy Cashman, brothers Scott Murphy and Larry Murphy, and step-grandchild Amanda Goerlich.

She spent many of her early years in Minneapolis, but much of her life was colored by her loving marriage to Dale. They raised three children, and their home was home to many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and anyone else who needed a warm, welcoming place in their community. From Alaska to Texas, Linnae saw her fair share of the world, but she never spent too much time away from Minnesota and her family.

Linnae stayed busy in her career and in her hobbies. She dedicated 26 years to serving the City of Robbinsdale and Hennepin County as a supervisor in the Department of Motor Vehicles. Her soul was brimming with creativity, whether it was in the kitchen cooking for her family, making fairy gardens with her mother Dorothy, or elbows deep in various crochet projects, her hands were never idle. She lived simply and loved deeply. To know her was to love her, her memory is a blessing to all who knew her.

Her Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 West Broadway Avenue, Robbinsdale, MN 55422. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Please wear your favorite floral attire.
