Margaret Ann Johnson

Margaret Ann Johnson (Marge, Mother Marge, Grandma Marge), 87, of Minneapolis MN passed away peacefully, May 15th surrounded by her children.

She was born on September 23, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Crepeau . Marge graduated from St. Anthony of Padua High School in 1954. Following graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper for various construction companies. In 1970, she married Arnie Johnson and had two children, Ann and Charlie.  She was passionate about her sports teams. High school basketball specifically, DeLaSalle, Braham, and Apple Valley. Marge supported and promoted the goodness of the DeLaSalle community every day and made an indelible impact on generations of Islanders. She may have been DeLaSalle's #1 fan! Her passion for DeLaSalle students, athletes, and sports were unmatched. She was also a huge MN Twins fan. She attended and watched them every chance she could.

The only thing she loved more was her family and friends. To know Marge was to love and to be loved.  She was kind, loving, supportive and had a tremendous sense of humor. She was the perfect combination of love, nurture, and sarcastic smack talk. Our holidays and family gatherings were always spent with many tears of laughter (baby yoda, stripped jammies, team red, team orange, Paul Blart, and Jerry, IYKYK).

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 31 years, Arnie.

She is survived by a brother Richard (Patricia) Crepeau, her daughter Ann (Brian) Bromenshenkel, son Charlie (Holly) Johnson,  grandchildren, Eric (Anna) Bromenschenkel, Michelle (Gus) Sampson, Cassie (John) Swier, great grandchildren, Audrey, Madison, Ella, Tyson, Matthew and Ryker, nieces, nephews and many many friends.

A Mass will be held 10:30am, Saturday June 8th at The Church of St. Margaret Mary,  2323 Zenith Ave N. Golden Valley, MN. Visitation with the family one hour prior the Mass and a luncheon following. Private Interment at Fort Snelling.
