Marilyn Johnson

Age 92, of New Hope, MN, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents, Margaret and Joseph; her sisters, Mary Margaret, Marcele, Cleo, and her brothers, Harold and Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Matthew (Cindy), her grandchildren, Derek and Paige; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marilyn was born in Rockwell, IA, in 1934, where she attended Sacred Heart School, graduating in 1952. She attended the College of St. Benedict with an internship in Medical Technology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Marilyn worked at Mercy Hospital laboratory in Jason City, IA. In 1961, she moved to Minneapolis and worked at Physicians & Surgeons Medical Laboratory. She married Jerry Johnson in 1965.

Celebration of Life for Marilyn is scheduled at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 8701 36th Ave. N., New Hope, MN 55441 on Monday, April 20th. Funeral service will be at 11:00AM with visitation one hour before service. Luncheon to follow funeral services.
