Mary Ann (Kennedy) Sullivan

Sullivan, Mary Ann (Kennedy), age 79, passed away unexpectedly with family at her side on August 5th. She is survived by her children Kate Sullivan Goeddeke (Vince), Amy Sullivan Ricker (Vinny), John Sullivan (Anna) and Becky Sullivan Davis (Josh); grandchildren Gabe, Luke, Audrey, and George Goeddeke, Joe and Mary Sullivan Ricker, and Dorothy Davis; siblings Pat (Kathy), Joe (Jaclyn), Tom (Janice) and Monica Kennedy and Margaret Vorpagel (Bruce) and sister in law Lynette Kennedy as well as many dear nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years Thomas Sullivan, her parents Richard and Mary Kennedy (Gurney) and siblings Mike, John, Bill, Mary Beth, and Jim Kennedy. Mary Ann spent her life in the service of others - at home as a mother, in her career as a social worker and administrator at Catholic Charities, and in retirement as a volunteer. She valued time with family and found great joy in knowing and supporting her grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed every day. Funeral Service will be held at St Thomas the Apostle Church, 2914 W 44th St, Mpls on Tuesday, August 19. Visitation at 10am, Mass at 11am, lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Catholic Charities - Twin Cities or Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
