Mary L. Gonyer,
age 67 of Minnetonka, MN and Holmes Beach, FL. passed away on August 29, 2016.
Mary fought bladder cancer with grace and dignity for 3 years. She touched many lives in her 30+ year career in the guidance office at Minnetonka Middle School East. She always put others first and everyone she met became a lifelong friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gregory and Marie Schmitz; brothers, Thomas and James.
Survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Neil Gonyer (Jodi); daughter, Rachel Gonyer; grandson, Caleb Hoffarth; brother, John Schmitz; sister, Barb Hughes; nieces, nephews, relatives and many lifelong friends.
Memorial Mass 10 AM Thursday at Pax Christi Community Church, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Visitation 5 – 8 PM Wednesday at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave., St. Louis Park and 1 hour prior to Mass at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Frauenshuh Cancer Center at Methodist Hospital or Pax Christi Church.
