Mary died victorious, surrounded by family after a defiantly joyful three-year battle with neuroendocrine cancer.

An incredible listener full of creative vitality, 'Baba' inspired all who knew her; first as a sister to her six siblings and a gifted stage actress, then a devoted mother to her two children and champion of young hearts for over 22 years at The Berry Patch Preschool before retiring to become the greatest grandmother imaginable.

Mary shared her story with Brian, husband of 42 years and the love of her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ivar and Katherine Stockhaus; her sister Nancy Westerman; and her brother James Stockhaus. Survived by her husband Brian; her children Dylan (Jillian) and Pegeen (Brian); her beloved grandchildren George (4) and Miles (21 months); and her siblings Thomas, Michael (Nancy), Kathleen (Christopher) and Patrick (Elizabeth).

Celebration of Life on May 22, 12:30 PM visitation, 2:00 PM service at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue S.
