befittingly passed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th, 2024 at the age of 98. Born on February 6, 1926, at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she lived a rich and fulfilling life. She was the daughter of James Philip Ryan and Grace Dorothy Irving Ryan, and had two sisters, Patricia Marie Ryan Hurley and Grace Phillis Ryan Hufnagle. Mary Ann attended the Academy of The Holy Angels for grade school and later graduated from The University of Minnesota. On November 25, 1948, she married John Eugene Ryan on Thanksgiving Day, and together they raised two children, James Owen Ryan and Margaret Ryan Kelly. Mary Ann was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the Church of St. Patrick in Edina since June 1964, actively participating in the St. Patrick's Women Council and Little Flower Guild. Known for her warm hospitality, Mary Ann had a passion for hosting friends and family gatherings especially at the cherished family cabin, affectionately known as Ryanland. Her legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.  Reviewal 10 AM Friday, May 31, 2024 at The Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St Patrick's Lane, Edina with Funeral Mass at 11AM, followed by a luncheon.
