Mary Beth Torrey

Mary Beth Torrey age 74 of Hopkins, passed away on July 17, 2022 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Preceded in death by parents Lewis and Phyllis Bredeson; sister-in-law Evon Bredeson.   Survived by husband Eugene; stepchildren Thomas Torrey (Stephanie Lee) and Tiffany Torrey; grandchildren Mackenzie Lartch and Logan Lartch; brothers Charles Bredeson (Carol), Gerald Bredeson (Gwyn), David Bredeson and William Bredeson (Bobbie).  Mary Beth always looked forward to planning and hosting the annual Thanksgiving family gathering each year.  Her favorite hobbies after being with her grandchildren were knitting for non-profits and watching the Minnesota Twins.  She graduated from Appleton, MN High School and attended Abbott Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis.  She was a long-time employee of Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth on Wednesday, August 3rd with visitation beginning at 10:00.  A light luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society.  Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
