Mavis Elaine Fern

age 96, of Medina. Mavis went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 24, 2025 after a brief illness. 

Mavis Isaacson Fern was Born May 19, 1929 in Wilson, WI. She enjoyed growing up on a farm, even with the hard work. She attended school in Glenwood City and Baldwin High School, where she met Wayne Fern. They were married June 21, 1952 and moved to Minneapolis. They were blessed with 3 wonderful children,7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Mavis was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne in 2007; her parents, Ivan and Ruth Isaacson & brothers, Walker and Eugene.

Mavis is survived by her children, Debra Lien (Richard), David Fern (Donna), Randall Fern (Tamara); grandchildren, Briana (Chadwick), Joanna (Jason), Erica (Brandon), Ann (Jeremy), William (Christina), Lisa (Jacob), Laura; 8 great grandchildren, Ethan, Ezra, Samuel, Katheryne, Ezekiel, Elliot, Lucy and Henry; brother, Warren; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service 11:00 AM Saturday, Nov 1 at Gearty-Delmore Chapel of Plymouth, 15800 37th Ave. N. with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
