Beloved brother and uncle, Max Gerard Gabrelcik passed away unexpectedly at home on 6/29/2024.
Preceded in death by parents, Debra Ann and Randy; grandparents, Ambrose and Lorraine Brown, Art and Priscilla Gabrelcik; aunts, Cheryl Vanderlinden and Jan Bogenrief; uncle, Tom Lobitz.
Survived by sisters, Allison and Lindsay; niece, Paige; furry companions, Boo, Jingle, Raine and Bell; many other family and friends.
A 2004 graduate of Mound-Westonka High School, Max played football and was a wrestler; he was a contender in the 2004 state high school wrestling tournament. Max was Vice President of Gabrelcik Enterprises; he lived and breathed concrete and was involved in the family business since birth. Max was active in his church, Our Lady of the Lake, working at the church festival each year and ushering for services. Max was an avid gardener, and in his spare time he loved constructing and building Legos, snowmobiling in the winter, kayaking in the summer, collecting coke and rocks, and racing his RC cars with family and friends. He had a warrior’s spirit, putting others before himself and protecting those he loved; he will be greatly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, 7/8, with visitation 9-11 AM, all at the Church of Our Lady of the Lake, 2411 Commerce Blvd., Mound. Interment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Gabrelcik family: Stand with the Gabrelcik Ladies in Their Loss.
