Michael Perri

Mike Perri passed away at the age of 72 on Saturday, December 20, after a long battle with heart conditions. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather.

Mike lived a life shaped by early mornings in the field, long days on the water, loyal dogs at his side, and an unwavering devotion to his family. His passing marks the loss of a man who knew how to live fully and love deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Perri; son, David Perri; daughter, Stephanie Perri; son-in-law, Andy Guggenberger; granddaughter, Sophia Guggenberger; and beloved dogs, Moose and Marco.

To his daughter, Stephanie, Mike was her fiercest protector, a loyal and loving father, and a man of unwavering character guided by faith and integrity. His family was the center of his world, and he devoted his life to keeping them safe, supported, and deeply loved. He was her steady presence through every chapter of life, offering strength, wisdom, and unconditional support. His greatest joy was his family, and his beloved granddaughter will forever remain the light of his heart.

To his son, Dave, Mike was a mentor who taught him how to be strong and how to keep moving through life’s many obstacles. He was the best hockey dad a boy could ever ask for, willingly sacrificing his time, energy, and love to make Dave’s career as long and special as possible. After Dave graduated college with dreams of becoming a successful businessman—just as his dad had been for 23 years—he started a hockey training business called Build Your Game under Mike’s advice and guidance. Shortly thereafter, Mike joined the Build Your Game team, serving as its General Manager for over a decade and a half. Dave and Mike shared every conversation a father and son could ever have, and Mike’s legacy will live on through him.

To his wife, Joanne, Mike was a devoted husband who led their household with love and faith. He elevated the lives of everyone around him, and there was no length he wouldn’t go to ensure his family felt safe and protected. Mike and Joanne shared a marriage marked by unmatched closeness—they were each other’s confidants, two souls bound together by an unbreakable bond. His presence in her life will be dearly missed until the day they are reunited in heaven.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, from 5:00–7:00 PM, with a time of remembrance at 6:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 30, at The Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd., Crystal, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial and then lunch at St. Raphael’s Church.
