Wick, Michael Lee
Mike was one short month away from his 63rd birthday. Passed unexpectedly of natural causes on the evening of July 13, 2023, in Monticello, MN. Survived by two sons, Austin (27) and Noah (24) Wick; grandson of Austin Wick and Susie Kilian due in early November of 2023; brother, Gary Wick; sisters, Shar Benson, Kitty (Mike) Eicher and Christine Wick, Leslie Ripple; nieces and nephews, Joslyn Wick, Colin Ripple, Barrett Benson, Jack Benson, Kathryn (Kurt) Hess, Thor Helgeson, Grace Eicher, Chris Eicher. Preceded in death by parents, Lee Wick and Della Kinney; sister, Mary-Leah Cram; nephew, Ryan Benson Sr., and great nephew, Ryan Benson Jr. Mike grew up in Eden Prairie with his 3 sisters (Kitty, Leslie, and Mary). Post high school, he went to Anoka Hennepin Community College and was a peace officer for Anoka. He spent 25 years as a machinist for Cass Precision Machining while enjoying the years fishing on the Crow and Mississippi River with his sons, Austin and Noah. He also spent years as a volunteer youth football and baseball coach. Mike will be remembered as a big part of multiple youth football and baseball players as well as being a kind, caring, loving man despite his battle with his inner demons.
