Shelly is survived by husband John Steward; sons Johnny and Ben; daughter Grace Steward; parents Bruce and Mary Krogstad.
Preceded in death by brother Tony and sister Brenda Krogstad.
Shelly grew up in Robbinsdale and was a 1981 graduate of Robbinsdale High School.
Services have been held in northern Minnesota.
Memorials preferred to the Akeley Community Library.
