Norbert Kenneth Weimholt

Norbert Kenneth Weimholt, age 90 of Spring Park, died November 4. Born October 23, 1932, to Urban and Rose Weimholt of Boonville, Missouri.. He is survived by his children John (Chris), Mark (Joan) and Mary (Tom) Davis, grandchildren Stefani, Elise, Elizabeth, Victoria, Anna, Rebekah, Natalie, Silvina, and Joseph, brother Gary (Vicky), sister-in-law Shirley, both of Jefferson City, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeanne (née Hilger), his parents, siblings Dorothy Schmidle, Harold, and Bernard. Norbert served in the Air Force and later graduated from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism. Norbert wrote for the Decatur Herald, the Associated Press, and other newspapers. He started editing in-house publications in the financial services industry, and then became a stock broker who enjoyed following the market and trading well into his retirement years. Norbert was a devoted and active member of the Catholic Church, often serving on the parish council as a financial consultant. He played tennis and golf. He was an enthusiastic builder and furniture maker.  Always positive and inquisitive, Norbert loved researching various interests and writing, along with spending time with family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday (November 15th) 11:00 a.m. with Rosary 9:30 a.m. and visitation starting at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd, Mound. Interment Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul.
