Patrick James Lyden

88, of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 7, 2025. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. 

Having worked at Minnegasco and after earning his MBA, he went into mechanical sales and later started his own company, Lyden Technology. Upon his retirement and wanting to remain active, he became an EMT with North Ambulance for 9 years. 

A devoted husband, Patrick loved family time at the cabin, traveling with Frances, being actively involved with his children’s sports as they were growing up, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed the time spent with his many friends. He was affectionately known to family and friends as PJ and Big Papa.

 Preceded in death by wife, Frances and son, Daniel. 

Survivors include children, Theresa (Dale) Holland, Anthony (Patty), Kathryn (Charles) Evans and Joseph (Mary); grandchildren, Christina, Andrea, Luke and Brook; great grandchildren, Skylar and Colin; siblings, Margaret Goulet, Kathleen (Wayne) Bergstrom and Thomas (Mary Lou) Lyden. 

Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 11 from 5 to 8PM at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 9100 93rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park, with visitation one hour prior to Mass.

 Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
