Phyllis I. Nygaard

Nygaard, Phyllis I. (nee Thompson), 99, of Wayzata, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2023.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she is survived by her daughters, Jane Flower & husband Paul, Kathryn Nygaard; grandchildren, Michael (Jillian) Flower, Mark (Adeline) Flower, and Jennifer Flower; great-grandchildren, Joanna, Finn, and Ezra; and sister Luzetta Matson. She is preceded in death by her husband Bert Nygaard and sister Bertha Mae Thompson.

Phyllis was a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and the Bible.

A celebration of her life will be held at Park Harbor Church in St. Louis Park Saturday, February 11, at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, suggested memorial donations: MN Adult and Teen Challenge; Park Harbor Church.
