Raymond John Bona

of New Hope, Minnesota passed away October 21, 2026. Ray was born on June 1, 1931 in Northeast Minneapolis to Raymond Stanley Bona and Francis Marcella Bona (nee Dennis). He married Elaine Marjorie Enfield on August 22, 1953. They spent most of their years together in New Hope (56 years) where they raised five children.

Ray was preceded in death by daughter Darlene (Tom) Schmidt, and son David (Deborah) Bona. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Elaine, son: Dan (Roxanne) Bona, daughters: Debbie (Jim) Janisin, Diane (John) Brandenburg, grandchildren: Denise Bona, Dawn (Chris) Heine, Katherine Schmidt, and great grandchildren: Aaliyah and Roman Heine.

Ray originally worked at Worwa's Bar and Setchell Carlson televisions. He also worked on a gas conversion to natural gas in Milwaukee and Philadelphia. For 40 years he repaired machines for Coffee Vending Service which became ARA. After a year of retirement, he went back to work part-time for another 20 years at Automotive Concepts.

Funeral services will be held at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, Minnesota on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00. A private interment will be held directly thereafter at Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, New Brighton, Minnesota.
