Survived by loving husband of 67 years, Lowell; children, Paul (Emily) Plooster, Kathleen (Dan) Johnson, Mark (Cathy) Plooster and Rob (Lori) Pipal; grandchildren, Michael (Rachelle) Johnson, Katie (Sam) Heinzel, Ashlee Johnson, Scott Plooster, Angela (Brooks) Lambert and Melissa Plooster; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Natalie Johnson and Mason Heinzel.

René was an active member of New Hope Church and Gideons International.

Interment Maple Knoll Cemetery, Maple Grove.

Memorials are preferred to Gideons International.
