Richard J. Hedman

Richard J. Hedman age 77 of North Minneapolis.  Richard was a lifetime resident of North Minneapolis and member of the Church of Our Lady of Victory.  He was an engineer with the city of St. Paul for over 35 years.  Richard was an active member in Toastmaster’s and the New Hope YMCA Silver Sneakers walking club.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Einar Hedman; brother, Ralph and infant nephew, James.

Survived by his sister-in-law, Sharon Hedman; nephews and niece, Michael (Sharon), Patrick, Susan (Joseph) Koch and Peter; great-nephews and great-niece, Joel, Fr. Paul, Stephen and Serena.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 8 at the Church of Our Lady of Victory, 52nd Avenue North at Fremont Avenue North, Minneapolis.  Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.  Visitation 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 7 at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 West Broadway, Robbinsdale and one hour prior to the Mass at church.

Memorials are preferred to the Church of Our Lady of Victory, the Minnesota Historical Society or the donor’s preference.
