Rita B. Holmes
Rita, of Minneapolis was born 1/15/1924 and passed away 9/21/2017.
Preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Clarence “Doc”; daughter, Cheri Subialka; parents, Fred and Elizabeth Ganley; 7 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survived by sons, Gregory (Darlene), Robert, and Kenneth (Diane); daughter, Mary (Paul) Stonestrom; son-in-law, Mike Subialka; 11 grandchildren, Jenny (Todd), Spencer (Heather), Angie (Joe), Jeremiah, Adam (Nicole), John, Ryan, Erinn (Brock), Katie, Patrick, and Bridget; 13 great-grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
Member of VFW Post #2614 Auxilary and longtime member of the Church of St. Austin.
Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday (9/27), 11 am at the Church of St. Austin, 4050 Upton Avenue North, Minneapolis. Interment Fort Snelling. Visitation Tuesday, 5-8 pm with prayer service 7 PM at Gearty- Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway and ½ hour before the Mass at the church.
Memorials preferred to the Church of St. Austin.
Prayer service 7 PM. Visitation also after 10:30 am Wednesday at church.
