Robert "Bob" Hansen

With deep love and profound sadness we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Hansen a loving husband, devoted father/grandfather and steadfast friend. His unwavering commitment to his family, generous heart and quiet strength will be remembered always.

Born on March 26th, 1955 to Jack and Jeanette Hansen in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was an avid sports lover and graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1973 playing hockey, baseball and football. He was proud to be a member of Plumbers Local 15 and through his career worked as a Journeyman, Minneapolis Plumbing Inspector, Business Agent and lastly as a Business Manager.

He was married to the love of his life Cheryl Hansen for 48 years and together they raised their sons Kyle and Tim. Coaching his two boys in their sports gave him immense joy and he loved sharing his knowledge with them and others. He flourished as an adoring Gramps and loved watching his six grandchildren grow. Nothing made him happier than sitting at the picnic table at the lake watching everyone enjoy the water and in his later years he treasured going on trips with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Hansen, son Tim (Mattie) Hansen, grandchildren Avalyn, Allyson, Mason, Aaron, Maxwell and Zachary Hansen, sister Carol Fish and his many nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Jack Sr. and Jeanette Hansen, brothers Jack Jr. and Tom Hansen and his son Kyle Hansen. His legacy will live on forever and he will be missed.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 25 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N (@ Vicksburg Lane), with visitation one hour prior.
