Roger Lee Stelljes

Roger Lee Stelljes, 83, passed away on Sunday September 20, 2026, at St. Therese, in Corcoran, Minnesota. For thirty-four years Roger was a teacher as well as a football and hockey coach at Osseo, Park Center and Maple Grove High Schools. He loved teaching, coaching and working with kids and never felt like he went to work a day in his life.

 Roger was preceded in death by his parents George and Marion Stelljes, infant daughter Dana, and brother Loren Batdorf. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Roger Stelljes (Sue), Julia and Jack, son Chad Stelljes, Jake, Nick and Samantha, and son Matthew Stelljes (Ronda), Kyle, Connor and Cody. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 7180 Hemlock Lane North, Maple Grove, Minnesota at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials preferred to the Chapel at St. Therese in Corcoran. Please join the family for a luncheon at the church immediately following the Mass. There will be a private family internment at Gethsemane Cemetery.
