Ruth Stevens, 103, of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 15. She was born on September 14, 1922 in Ogden, Utah, to Florence Browning and Sidney Johnson. She was proud of her Utah pioneer heritage and her connection to Browning firearms. She was devoted to her family, church, and faith throughout her life, finding her greatest joy surrounded by and being with her loving spouse, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ruth's husband of 68 years, Henry Stevens, preceded her in death on May 3, 2013 at age 92.
Ruth grew up in Ogden, Utah, where she met and married Henry. They raised their daughters, Ann and Marilyn in Ogden Utah, Portland Oregon, and the San Francisco Bay area as Henry was transferred by General Mills during his 44-year career with them. In 1969, their final transfer was to the home office in Minnesota, and she has lived in Plymouth, Minnesota since that time.
She is survived by her loving family: daughters Ann Wilson (Paul) and Marilyn Woodland (Paul); 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Her two siblings, Sid, and Kate, predeceased her.
A funeral service will be held Saturday October 18, 2:00 PM, at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel in Plymouth.
