Ryan Louis Nolte, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 while on a work trip in Monterrey, Mexico. Ryan was born on June 28, 1982 in Edina, Minnesota to Bruce and Sandy Nolte. Ryan grew up along with his sister, Sarah, in New Hope, MN. He graduated from Armstrong High School in 2001. He furthered his education and has been in industrial sales for the past four years.
Growing up Ryan had a close relationship with his parents and sister. They traveled and played many sports. The love and bond they shared was felt by anyone who entered their orbit.
Ryan married the love of his life, Crystal, on September 19, 2020 surrounded by their children and family. Ryan and Crystal blended their families and became a family of seven (Paxton, Payton, Victoria, Leighton and Jude) and this family became Ryan’s whole world. Ryan was the most amazing, loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Ryan loved his wife with his whole being. Their lives were joined together at a time that they needed each other the most. He was Crystal’s best friend. He made her feel like the most important person in the world. Not a day went by without him telling Crystal how much he loved her and that she was the most beautiful person in the world. Ryan was a dreamer, and the dreams they dreamed together were amazing. They loved traveling and had many crazy adventures with friends and family that will be held in our hearts forever. He was so proud of the life they built together for their family.
When it came to being a dad or D2, Ryan was the best. It didn’t matter whose kids they were, he showed them so much love, fun and attention. He was the weird exuberant one, just like the kids. Sometimes Crystal felt as though she had 6 children instead of five. There was never a dull moment when they were all together. If ever the kids wanted something or wanted to go somewhere they never came to Crystal. They knew if they asked Ryan nicely and put the charm on he was putty in their hands. Ryan taught us that it’s ok to not be so logical and uptight, just relax and let things be. His love for all of his children was deep. He loved filling his days with anything that involved the children. Paxton, Payton, Victoria, Leighton and Jude were so lucky to get the time they had with Ryan because he made them feel so very special every time they were together.
Ryan made every single person he met feel like they had been friends for a lifetime. It never failed that he would come back from work trips and he would tell about the new friends he made at the airport or restaurant and that he now had all their contact information and were going to get together the next time they were close by. Ryan brought joy to every gathering that he ever was a part of whether it was his infectious laugh, his comments that went far over the line or his desire for everyone to stay to continue to just enjoy being together. Ryan’s love for his closest friends was one we all would only hope for in life. His closest friends were not his closest friends, they were a part of his family. He would do anything for these people and loved spending time with them whenever he had the chance.
Ryan will be deeply missed by his wife Crystal, their children, Paxton Richter, Payton Richter, Victoria Nolte, Leighton Richter and Jude Nolte, his mother, Sandy Nolte (LeClaire), his sister, Sarah (Jason) Krantz, father-in-law, Dr. David DeGear, mother-in-law, Wendy DeGear, sister-in-law, Jessica (Roger) Keopple, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Nolte, and his brother-in-law, Ryan DeGear.
The family invites friends and family to join for a viewing/visitation at 1:00 on Saturday, November 25th at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Home in Plymouth. A short memorial service will follow along with refreshments and dessert available afterwards.
The memories of Ryan Nolte will be forever held close to the hearts of all that were lucky to know him.
