Sandra Lee Nieman

Sandy Nieman (Erickson) of Crystal, went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2026, at age 76.

Sandy spent many years in the food industry, including time at Pillsbury and Cargill. She was a proud member and Past President of Mothers of Multiples, and a lifelong member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, time at the lake, and watching the sports and activities of her children and grandsons. Sandy’s love language was cooking and baking for family and friends—you never went hungry in an Erickson home.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elaine Erickson; sister, Judy Erickson; sister-in-law, Mary Erickson; niece, Kristin Erickson. She will be forever in the hearts of her sons, Adam, Andy and Brent Nieman; daughter, Ericka (Rory) Larson; grandsons, Drew and Jack Larson; brother, Ed (Carrie) Erickson; nephews and nieces, Niko Tsatsos, Dena Dyrud, Matt Erickson, Steve Erickson, Julie Harrington and their families; Rob Dowden and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service 11 am Friday, May 8 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Summit Park Cemetery, Wayzata. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Susan G. Komen for Breast Cancer Research and Prevention or Golden Valley Humane Society.
