Age 88 of Plymouth, MN
God lent us this beautiful angel for nearly 89 years and took her peacefully home on May 22nd, 2026.
Sharon was born in Howard, South Dakota August 15th, 1937. She spent her childhood in Valley Springs , South Dakota where she graduated from Valley High School in 1955.
Sharon lived her life with grace and laughter. She was incredibly kind, caring and generous and we are grateful for every moment we shared with her.
Sharon's passions were her faith, family, friends and traveling-as a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines, across the world with friends and frequently to Arizona to stay in touch with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters . Sharon had a very special way of connecting with people of all ages and was blessed with many dear friends whose lives were forever changed. She loved meeting one of "her gals" for lunch and spending time volunteering at church. Sharon was an animal lover who had several dogs throughout her life and deeply cherished their companionship.
Sharon was truly in her glory when spending time with her eight grandchildren-whether meeting for breakfast or lunch to catch up or attending one of their sporting events or concerts...rarely did she miss a thing! It would be difficult to find another gramma who followed Minnesota sports like Sharon, she proudly held her own with all of her grandsons discussing the latest trades, coaching changes and game highlights.
Sharon had a heart of gold and was always there with a smile to lend a hand or simply to listen. Sharon led by wonderful example and will be greatly missed.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Oscar & Janet Langland. Survived by her children John (Laura) Graham, Theresa (Matt) Deterding and Michelle (Vikram) Krishnaswamy and her eight grandchildren: Patrick & Michael Graham, Conor, Mason, Samantha and Charlie Deterding & Priya and Jaya Krishnaswamy. Cousins; Roger, Gaylord, Debbie, Diane and Denise.
Thank you to the staff at Estates of Excelsior and Moments Hospice. Your gentle loving care for Sharon was beyond words.
