Steven John Paulino entered eternal rest and joined the Lord on June 18, 2025. Born on March 6, 1966, Steven was the cherished son of Tomas and Kathleen Paulino, and a light in the lives of all who knew him.
Joined in heaven by his father, Tomas Paulino; his brother-in-law, Walter Pawlyshyn; and his nephew, Aiden Michael Paulino.
Steven’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his beloved daughter Tabatha Taylor Paulino and Cameron Mantanona and his son Marven Ezekiel Paulino.
He is deeply missed by his mother, Kathleen M. Paulino, and his devoted siblings and their families: Teresita Pawlyshyn (Matthew and Ahna, Natalie, Bennett, and Harrison), Peggy and Torgun Smith (Tyler, Ashley and Blake, Tasi, and Victoria Ann), Patty and Dick Chenitz (Jacob, Isa, and Jada), Michael and Achina Paulino (Abigail, John, Paige, Asten, and Meg), Anita and Paul Malchow (Mai’ana, Maddox, and Mackenzie).
Steven’s warm spirit and infectious laughter will also be remembered by his extended family—his aunts, uncles, cousins—and by countless friends from Guam to Minnesota. He leaves behind dear colleagues and teams from Aarin Construction, Inarajan Middle School, Morrico Equipment, Island Girl Coffee and Quenchers, Guam Tennis Community, and his church family at Bayview Baptist Church.
Raised in Forest Lake, Minnesota, Steven graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1984. He began his college journey at the University of Minnesota before moving to Guam, where he completed his studies at the University of Guam. His passion for community and youth development led him to serve as a teacher and athletic director at Inarajan Middle School. Beyond the classroom, he was highly regarded for his expertise in concrete and tennis court resurfacing— crafts he pursued with pride and precision.
Steven was a man of immense heart and unwavering generosity. To know him was to know joy. He brought humor and levity wherever he went, turning even the most ordinary moments into unforgettable stories. Whether sharing his time, talents, or resources, Steven gave freely—quietly, humbly, and without expectation. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and limitless kindness.
Though his earthly journey has ended, the ripple of Steven’s life continues—forever etched in the memories of those he touched. His spirit, vibrant and unyielding, will live on in every shared laugh, every act of generosity, and every story told in his honor.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Steven’s life at the Wayzata Country Club on June 29, 2025. Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow.
