Terese "Terry" Miller Haak
Terry Haak was born on January 16th, 1931 to Ed and Ruby Miller in Mpls, MN. After graduating from St. Margaret's Academy, she worked for an insurance company as a secretary.
Terry was united in marriage in 1952 to George Miller, and enjoyed military life while stationed at the Ellsworth Air Force base in Rapid City, SD for 2 years. Blessed with 5 children, Terry and George lived a very active life in Crystal, MN. Following George's death and an empty nest, Terry "re-met" and eventually married Gene Haak. They spent years at their cabin up north and Terry fostered many hobbies including knitting, cribbage, baking chocolate chip cookies, and crocheting over 100 afghans for family and friends. And of course, making sure she always had an angel on her shoulder!
Terry was probably best known for her love and devotion to her faith and her church. She attended mass regularly and was dedicated to her daily rosary and prayers. Terry spent hours volunteering at her church and was always ready to lend a hand to various community organizations and services. She was truly an inspiration to many.
Terry is survived by her children, Skip Miller, Mary (Tom) Skudlarek, Ann (Al) Hunter, Tommy (Cindy) Miller and step son, Pete (Cheryl) Haak. Terry is also survived by her greatest pride and joy, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren!
Preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, daughter, Paula, first husband, George, and late husband, Gene.
Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at St. Joseph's Historic Little Church - 13015 Rockford Rd, Plymouth at 11:00AM with visitation from 9:30-11:00AM. Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Terry's name to The Paula Fund at Ascension Catholic Academy in Support of St John Paul II Catholic School preferred.
The family and friends of Terry would like to offer our deepest appreciation and thanks to the beautiful staff and community of St. Otto's Care Facility in Little Falls, MN. You were truly her angels on this earth and we are forever grateful.
