Thomas Hallaway

Thomas A Hallaway age 85 of Elk River passed away in his home on September 17, 2023.  Surrounded by his family, Tom was born at home in Holloway MN.

He served in the National Guard for two years.  Then joined the Air Force in 1958 to 1962.

He met Shirley and married on September 23, 1961.  Tom was a dedicated employee of Onan Manufacturing which is Cummins for 37 years.

Tom was a member of St Raphaels for 33 years of New Hope and 25 year member of St Andrews of Elk River.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Crystal Council #3656 and Nicollet Assembly 4th degree #526  for 40 years.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents John and Hattie Hallaway, sister in law Anita Hallaway and brother-in-law Ron Brzinski. Survived by wife Shirley of 62 years, children Eva Schreiber(Jim), John Hallaway(Leslie), Michael Hallaway(Carrie), James Hallaway(Beverlee), Patrick Hallaway(Lydia). Siblings Jack Hallaway and Arlene Brzinski. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial 12:30 PM Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Church of Saint Andrew 566 4th Street NW Elk River 55330. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church.

In lieu of flowers donations to nonprofit, Our Lady of Peace, 2076 St. Anthony Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104.
