Thomas Wright

Thomas Fjelde Wright, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024, with his wife, Sharon, by his side. Son of Clarence and Fredrikke Wright, he was born on February 5, 1939 and raised in Fargo, North Dakota.

He is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters Laura (Jeff) Bros and Diane (Tom) Peterson; sons Tom (Lori) Wright and Jason Wright; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his sister Margaret (Paul) Rick. He also leaves behind two nieces and one nephew.

Tom graduated from Fargo Central High School and earned a Business Administration degree from North Dakota State University. He served two years in the US Army and had a successful career in the insurance and investment industry in Minneapolis.

Tom lived life to the fullest and had a passion for travel. After an early retirement, he and Sharon moved to the Baja Peninsula of Mexico and later to San Diego. Five years ago, they returned to the Minneapolis area to be close to family. Tom cherished ski trips, hiking tours, and scuba diving excursions. His favorite trip was a memorable family vacation to Italy.

He will be remembered as a man who deeply loved his family and valued his friendships. Always the life of the party, he described himself as "a pleasant go-getter." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A small family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
