Timothy Mark Sowieja

Timothy (Tim) Mark Sowieja, 46, of Maple Grove, Minnesota passed away on February 6,
2022.
Tim was born on November 28, 1975 to Mark Sowieja and Lyn Sowieja in Waconia,
Minnesota. In 2002, Tim married the love of his life, Jody (Thorne) Sowieja. They have two
beautiful daughters, Ellie and Mady, who were Tim’s pride and joy.
Tim had served as Vice President of Operations for Flagship Technologies since August
2019. It was a perfect fit for him and he was so happy in this new chapter of his career. He
prided himself on working hard to make a difference, impacting the business in any way that
he could, and always going above and beyond to help everyone on the team. Previously,
he worked for 20 years in sales at SAP Concur, AllOver Media, Intran Media, and AJ Indoor
Advertising. In addition to his successful career, Tim was a world champion archer, jack-of-all
trades, an avid cyclist, and golfing fanatic. He loved the outdoors and was a self-proclaimed
busy body who could never sit still.
Tim was beyond special in every way. His charismatic personality could light up any room.
He was incredibly humble, loving, selfless, genuine, thoughtful, hard-working, funny, and
could put anyone at ease with a flash of his comforting smile and twinkle in his eyes. He was
ALWAYS happy and positive and frequently pushed all in his path to “find the sunshine in
every day.” He loved life and lived every day to the fullest.
Tim was an incredible son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend who was loved by everyone
he met. But most importantly, Tim was an amazing father, the very best girl dad, and the
most perfect adoring husband who loved his three girls with every bit of his being. He wore
these titles as badges of honor and worked every day to ensure his girls felt happy, safe, and
surrounded by the purest, sweetest, unconditional love any man could give.
In addition to his loving wife, Jody Sowieja, and daughters, Ellie and Mady of Maple Grove,
MN, Tim is survived by his parents, Mark Sowieja of Owatonna, MN, and Lyn Sowieja of
Dodge Center, MN; sister, Kim (Tabe) Medill of Allen, TX; parents-in-law, Rex and Cheryl
Thorne of Bargersville, IN; sisters-in-law, Stacy (Kevin) Conrad of Greenwood, IN; Mindy
