Victor Dinius, 89, of New Hope, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 7, 2025, surrounded by loving partner Judy Lero and his family. Born March 23, 1936, in Hebron, ND to Jacob and Eva Dinius.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents; Toni Dinius; infant son, Jesse; and siblings, Phyllis, Frank, John, Jenny, Ray, and Russ.
He is survived by his loving partner, Judy Lero; children, Venisa (Tiffany), Joe (Becky), Veronica (John) Lang, and Jason (Kelly); grandchildren, Julia, Katie, Jake, Isabella, and Chase; and Judys son, Todd Lero and his family.
Victor proudly served in the U.S. Army and volunteered as a firefighter for the city of Golden Valley.
Victor had a lifelong love of the outdoors and sports, including being an avid, but mostly disappointed Twins fan. He played high school basketball and baseball. In his adult years he coached youth baseball and was a proud dad at his kids sporting and dance events. A hardworking and self-employed man, Victor was known for his lively spirit and for being the life of the party.
The family would like to thank Dr. Prasanna and RN Sasan, Park Nicolett Hospice Care, Caregivers Pa, Dani, Roger, Jasmine, and good friend Beth Lausen.
A Liturgy of the Word service will be held on Friday, July 25 at 3:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM, at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446.
