Victoria A. Amarvi

Victoria A. Amarvi passed into our Lord's hands on July 13, 2023 at age 96.

She was born and raised in West Africa, married, raised her family, her garden, tended her busy and happy home there, and eventually immigrated to the U.S.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her good-hearted and faithful husband of 65 years, and 2 grandsons.

She is survived by her 9 children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who live and work throughout the country and world.  She was a strong and willful woman who held together her family with faith, love, and a strong determination that her children and families remain close.  She will continue to live in our memories and grateful hearts forever.

We thank all her family and friends who filled her heart and her life over these many years, and especially thank all the caring people who assisted her, and us, in this final process these past several months.  May God bless and keep you always.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 7 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 4030 Jackson Street N.E., Columbia Heights.

Private interment Gethsemane Mausoleum.

Visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
