Virginia (Ginny) Witte, age 81, passed away peacefully on 22 December, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Though her time on earth has come to a close, the kindness, laughter, and unwavering strength she shared with others will continue to echo through the lives she touched.
Born on 2 July, 1944 in Pipestone, MN, Ginny grew into a woman defined by love of family and resilience. She devoted her life to caring for those around her—whether as a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a cherished sister, a caring aunt, or a loyal friend. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, and her words had a way of making even the hardest days feel lighter.
Ginny had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and valued. She was known for her warm hugs, her gentle wisdom, and her sharp sense of humor. She loved reading, decorating, cooking and planning events, and she brought joy and intention to everything she did. Her greatest pride, however, was her family. She poured her heart into raising her children and nurturing her grandchildren, teaching them to be strong, kind, and true to themselves.
She is survived by son Jeff, daughter Amy and grandson Jack, who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her father Marlin Van Dyke, mother Dorothy Van Dyke (Roemeling) and sister Nancy Pennings.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on—in the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the memories we will carry always.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered until we see her in heaven.
