Yvonne Marie Leonard

Yvonne Marie Leonard, 88, of Robbinsdale, MN, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in Champlin, surrounded by family.

Born September 6, 1937, in Minneapolis to Charles and Clara Melsha, Yvonne attended school at St. Anthony of Padua. She married Thomas R. Leonard at Ascension Church on June 3, 1961. They shared 48 years of marriage until his death in 2010. A devout Catholic and dedicated member of The Church of St. Margaret Mary, Yvonne spent her life raising her family in Robbinsdale.

She is survived by children, Kathy (Jerry) Wolfgram, Anita (Leif) Leonard, Tom (Kris) Leonard, and Chuck Leonard; sister, Charlotte Gangelhoff; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Melsha, Sue (Bob) Mercier, and Virginia Leonard; grandchildren, Marissa (Randy) Erdman, Laura (Steven) Wolfgram, Matthew (Caitlyn) Wolfgram, Karina (Sam) Salewski, Alec Leonard, Serena Leonard, and Ellie Leonard; and 7 great grandchildren; Mason, Rolland, Roree, Graham, Quinn, Madison, and Lincoln.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Colleen; parents, Charles and Clara Melsha; and siblings, Lorraine Nelson, Lois Casserly, Charles Melsha, Gerald Melsha, and Audrey Olejar.

Yvonne’s family wishes to thank Amira Choice of Champlin and Brighton Hospice for their loving care of our Mother.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at The Church of St. Margaret Mary, 2323 Zenith Ave N., Golden Valley. Visitation at church one hour before Mass. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pro-Life Across America, Human Life Alliance, or St. Margaret Mary Church.
