Zaneta Lynn Harris-Bristo was born on Thanksgiving Day November 25, 1948. She passed away on November 5, 2021, just 20 days shy of her original Thanksgiving Day of birth. Zaneta was a member of the Gopher #440 American Legion Auxiliary and later transferred to the Westphal American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She also was a member of the New Brighton Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She is preceded in death by her late grandmother, Gertrude; grandfather, Fred Palmore; mother, Rosalie Harris; father, Howard Y. Cummings; first cousins, Jacqueline and Jay Jamison; and brothers-in-law, Tony and Tommy Ray Olden.
She is survived by husband, Robert Lee Bristo; son, Jayme Charles Fredrick Starkey; best friend, John Hartman; adopted sister, Martha Connor, spiritual sisters, Mary Whitney, Margaret Harris and Betty Rollins; sisters-in-law, Kathy Sallis, Judy Carol and Mary Olden; niece, Veronica Sallis; nephew, Curtis Sallis; adopted nieces, Rose, Anlena, Doris, Jean and Nicki; cousins, Dale, Cameron, Kathy, Georgine Jamison and Michael Hyatt; godchildren, Dreamer and Donovan Moralu; and a host of friends and loved ones.
Visitation Monday (11/15) 11 am-12 noon with service at 12 noon at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway. Interment to follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Mpls. Following the interment, everyone is welcome to the repast (potluck/social) at the New Brighton Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 563 Old Hwy. 8 NW in New Brighton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Zaneta’s husband, Robert.
