Ann Ester Olson

Ann Ester Olson

Our Lord God, Almighty in His tender mercy has gathered unto himself, Ann Esther Olson, our precious mother, treasured grandmother & great-grandmother. Ann was born March 07, 1929, to Michal and Susan Jakupciak of Wayzata, MN and entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 29, 2022. in Spring, TX at the age of 93.

Ann’s life was built on the foundation of her Savior Jesus Christ. She was baptized into the LCMS faith and she continued to faithfully serve God, her family and the community for her entire life. Ann married her beloved husband, Victor E. Olson on September 23, 1950. Victor and Ann exemplified Christ’s love for His Bride, the Church, in their unwavering devotion to each other and their family – an example that will continue to inspire their surviving family members for generations to come. For 45 years, they built a life together, serving their church first and their community at the family business located in downtown Wayzata. Victor and Ann worked tirelessly at Olson’s Bakery until 1990, where they created legendary cake creations and served unparalleled delicious treats that are still remembered by the community to this day.

Ann’s love of her Lord and her family has had a profound impact on those who have had the opportunity to get to know her during her 93 years. Her strongest desire throughout her life was to ensure her family remained deeply rooted in Christ. As she prepared to depart this life, she instructed everyone she spoke with, in true Ann Olson fashion, to stand firm in the faith as she was greatly looking forward to celebrating and worshipping around the throne of Christ with her family.

Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor E. Olson, daughter Marcia Bell, son Michael Olson, sisters Susan Schroeder and Emily Johnson, brothers, Michal and Jack Jakupciak.

She is survived by her daughter Marnee (Martin) Littmann of Spring TX, son Marcus (Corrine) Olson of Minneapolis MN, son-in-law Eric Bell of Brunswick OH, daughter-in-law Donna Olson of Champlin MN, grandchildren Amanda, Melinda (Matt), Marta (Joe), Adam (April), Andrew (Haley), Ann (Ben), Aaron (Jane), Rory, Cory (Daphne), Ocie (Jay), Joshua (Emily), Jacob, Samantha (Morrison), great-grandchildren Meredith, Lillis, Theo, Teagan, Rowan, Faith, Finley, Stark, Sadie and Nolitha, sister Jeanne (Al) Friske, sister-in-law Alice Jakupciak, and many nieces and nephews.
