Frank P. Fourre

Frank P. Fourre, 91, of Plymouth, passed away April 30, 2022.

Frank grew up in North Mpls and attended Patrick Henry High School and the University of Minnesota. He served in the US Army during the Korean War Era in occupied Germany with the 2nd Armored Division 1952-1953. He was a life member of the Prior Lake VFW Post 6208, life member of the Mpls-Richfield American Legion Post 435 and a life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Frank met Marilyn in Mpls in the early 50’s and married her in 1954.  Together they raised three children.

Frank was a purchasing director, a lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) for Bank Shares, Inc., parent company of Marquette Banks and other Carl Pohlad banks; also worked for Minnesota Enterprises, Inc., a large Pepsi-Cola bottling group.

He enjoyed being at the family cottage (built in 1923 by his grandfather) on Upper Prior Lake and worked to improve water quality and boating safety as a lifetime board member of the Prior Lake Association.  He wrote a weekly article for the local paper on these subjects for over 10 years. He was a volunteer, collecting lake data and water samples for: Prior Lake-Spring Lake Watershed District, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Minnesota DNR.

At age 81 Frank got involved with the excitement of owning and driving a Miata MX-5 Roadster.  He purchased a new 2011 Miata Roadster and became a member of the Miata Club of MN (North Star Chapter).  The trips and day drives were very much enjoyed with the great group of fellow Miata owners.

He was a faithful servant of God as a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley.

Frank was preceded by wife of 64 years, Marilyn and sister, Eloise.  He leaves as his legacy his three children, Craig (Nancy), Diane and Michelle.  He cherished five grandchildren, Allison, Matt (Jenna), Joshua, Elijah and Levi, in addition to two great grandchildren, Caroline and Henry.
