Arne, Jean A.

Born August 29, 1932, passed away August 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born to Fred and Frances Allenburg of Minneapolis. Jean was introduced to the love of her life, Jerry, by her brother John. They married in 1952, and lived in Iowa where Jerry started his first Chiropractic practice. After which, they relocated to Minnetonka Beach, MN, where they resided for 36 years.

Jean was a beloved wife to Jerry, Mother to 11 children, Therese Arne, Jane Quammen, Steve Arne(Bessie), Pam Horner(Brad), Linda Machmeier, Jerry Arne(Karla), Mike Arne, Brian Arne(Jennifer), Kathleen Sullivan, Robert Arne(Joelle), Jon Arne(Gretchen); 27 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents Fred and Frances; 2 siblings, Joan Kalgren, Thomas Allenburg; 2 daughters, Jane Quammen and Linda Machmeier.

Jean was affectionately known by many as ‘Honey Jean’. She loved children, was devoted to her family and her faith in God. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her for her smile, compassion and endless strength.

Memorial donations preferred to the Children's Hospital of MN.

A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Holy Name Of Jesus Church (155 County Rd 24, Medina). Visitation will begin at 10am, Mass to follow at 11am.
