Leon Frank Gunia

Leon F. Gunia was born 12/4/1925 and passed away peacefully on 12/20/2022 surrounded by loved ones.

He proudly served as a US Marine during WWII and was a driver and safety instructor for Greyhound Lines, retiring after 38 years.

Leon is survived by his wife of 69 years, JoAnn Gunia (Huber); his children, Marc, Monte (Kendra), Myles (Val), Shelly (Steve); son-in-law, Tom Ochsenbauer; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jean McNamara and Vickie Harbison.

Preceded in death by son, Mike; daughter, Marcy Ochsenbauer; parents, Tom and Stella; brothers, Walter and Joe; and sister, Tillie Mizerka.

He lived a long and beautiful life, and he will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Friday, Dec. 30th, with visitation one hour before, at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd., Crystal. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
