Paula A. Manthe, RPH retired
January 16, 1945 – February 20, 2023
Age 78 of Plymouth, passed away suddenly on February 20, 2023. Survived by husband of 55 years Richard M. Manthe; son Clayton Manthe and daughter Alicia Manthe (Scott Forsberg); grandchildren Tia, Reece and Vyla; brother Edmund Madison, Jr., nephew Michael and extended family. Preceded in death by parents Edmund Sr. and Harriet Madison, sister in-law Linda Madison, and nephew Edmund Madison III.
Paula had a zest for life with her family and through service as a pharmacist, traveled to more than 50 countries touring many churches, and chaperoned a Denver World Youth Day celebration with the Pope. Paula enjoyed music and arts over her lifetime by becoming an accomplished flutist and piccoloist (only non-music major to achieve first chair in University of Wisconsin Madison orchestra); creating stained glass windows, miniature houses, and terrariums; and producing beautiful embroidery from clothing, pillows to hanging artwork. Additionally, she was a gourmet cook; and she performed in the Minneapolis Applecore precision ice skating team.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM March 3 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Rd. 24, Medina. Visitation at church one hour prior to Mass.
Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society, Golden Valley or to Interfaith Outreach.
