Ronald Dale Hendren

Ronald Dale Hendren, age 75 years, died Wednesday of an apparent heart attack.  He was born in Sisseton, SD on 2-20-1947 and he died at home in the Twin Cities on 9-14-2022.  Talented in sports, art, and inventions, along with interests in family, friends and dogs describe our departed soldier.  He was raised in Minneapolis where he graduated from Vocational High School with a focus in upholstery.  He was medaled as a Vietnam veteran.  He attended Normandale College and Virginia Commonwealth University.  He excelled at golf, initially finding a love of this sport at age 11 years, by caddying at Theodore Wirth Golf Course.  He blessed our family with numerous paintings and held many patents for his inventions including an instant gift wrap, a golf towel, and a medical device.  Close family members who preceded him in death include his parents, Harold Vincent and Alice Delores (Vig) Hendren and his brother, Danny.  Those remaining, who will be celebrating his life, include his sisters Karen, Kathy, and Cheryl (David Gravdal); his brothers Dennis and Dick (Ramona); his wife, Jan Lowe; his step-children, Mimi Hahn and Jessica Lowe (Ryan Janssen); and, the apples of his eye, five grands, Maddie, Natalie, and Lauren Hahn; and Fay and Rex Janssen; his goddaughters Lizzie and Maria; his godson, Dale.  And, of course, his rescue dog Cooper.  Service Saturday (9/24), 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway.  The service will be streamed on this website on Saturday with a link added closer to service time.  Interment Ft. Snelling.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Golden Valley Animal Humane Society.
