Thomas J. Ringel, age 80 of Brooklyn Park went to his heavenly home on Wednesday May 10, 2023. He died at home with his loved ones by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born December 30, 1942 to John and Julie Ringel, Minneapolis MN. He grew up in NE Minneapolis, graduating from Edison High school in 1960.
He spent his entire working career doing Steel Sales for various steel companies, retiring in 2012.

He married Nancy Lipa in 1969 and to that union was born two children Traci and Dean. After Nancy died he met his present wife and they were married in 1989 until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife Jan, children Traci (Steve), Dean (Stacie), stepson Wade, grandchildren, Nicole, Gaborik, Ella, Isabelle, Lucas, Madeline, Kameron & Evan, siblings Jean, twin brother Terry (Myra), Jack (Pat).

He was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy, parents, grandparents, niece, cousins, aunts and uncles, brother in laws.

Tom loved his yard, gardening, sports, fishing, trips to the horse track, bowling, vintage automobiles, running errands, watching the history channel, visiting friends, and always willing to help out when asked. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and going to as many of their activities as he could! They loved and cherished every moment he was there.

Pops/Grandpa Tom you will forever be in our hearts and missed every day!

Mass of Christian Burial to be held May 17th at 11 A.M. St Joseph Parish, 8701 36th Ave. N., New Hope MN  55427. Visitation 1 ½ hrs prior to the service at the church.

Private Interment at a later date.
